The Churnet Valley has a wealth of natural resources in its rocks, the river, woods and meadows.
The rich geology supports productive farms as well as wildlife habitats. In the past it attracted industrialists who exploited its sands, copper, iron ore and limestone.
Now, local farmers and conservation organisations are working together to improve the water quality of the River Churnet.
CVLLP projects are strengthening other aspects of the natural environment too. We are making the Churnet Valley a place where people and nature flourish.
