Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, a registered charity, is the leading nature conservation body in the County. It protects and enhances our wildlife and wild places and promotes involvement, enjoyment and understanding of the natural world. With the support of over 16,000 members, it manages almost 30 sites covering over 2,400 acres including sites of international, European and national importance. As part of The Wildlife Trusts, the Trust is the local face of the largest organisation in the UK concerned with the conservation of all forms of wildlife.
Staffordshire Wildlife Trust is the lead partner in the Churnet Valley Living Landscape Partnership. The Trust believes strongly that the Staffordshire Moorlands is an extremely special landscape that should be both protected and celebrated. This diverse project will lead to major improvements in both the natural and built environment and will also boost people’s careers, incomes and enjoyment of the area.
